Good Laugh, Hymn and Rich Analogy about E-Commerce River Rising in Digital Age - No Sermon
Social Media and E-Commerce is a way of life these days
BUT
have you made one single penny off it?
It is a part of our lives whether we want it to be or not
... so you might as well PROFIT from it !
NOW YOU CAN!!
We made it possible so that ANYONE can profit from
E-COMMERCE ...
A good laugh is sometimes good medicine. I can't help but share this rich analogy comparing two rivers and an ever-changing landscape in a new future for digital pioneers!
First, read this Hymn No. 365, aloud if you wish for emphasis.
A minister was completing a temperance sermon.
With great emphasis he said,
'If I had all the beer in the world,
I'd take it and pour it into the river.'
With even greater emphasis he said,
'And if I had all the wine in the world,
I'd take it and pour it into the river.'
And then finally, shaking his fist in the air, he said,
'And if I had all the whiskey in the world,
I'd take it and pour it into the river.'
Sermon complete, he sat down...
The choir master stood very cautiously and announced
With a smile, nearly laughing, 'For our closing song,
Let us sing Hymn No.365
'Shall We Gather at the River.'
Here is the rich analogy:
Rivers have played an important commercial role in our society throughout history … as a source of water, food, protection, agriculture, trade routes, hydro-electric power, recreation and transportation. Eventually the advent of roads, rail and other means of transport diversified a country's economy, but rivers and their geographical value have remained essential.
The landscape now is located on the internet in a virtual world - everything that can be, or will be, is digital information. The question is how can we harness this Digital Age, if anything?
Communication technology is now binary codes at the speed of light. Digital distribution is the new channel for serious online marketers.
One of the fastest growing industries is E-Commerce - a massive 1.3 trillion dollar current expansion estimated to grow at 20% yearly. Visualize this huge unstoppable tide rising through the internet landscape with all kinds of social media tributaries, savvy consumers and new sites and goals of doing business.
The biggest Shift in Wealth in our History is taking place right now and
most people don't even realize it is taking place. There is no recession -
the money is just moving to different industries.
The river did not dry up it just changed course
yet people are still trying to fish in a dry lake bed. Brandon Ivey
In fact, our business is continually developing our status on this E-Commerce River:
